About Us

In 2005, we incorporated Garrison Photography LLC in Idaho after our international travel and landscape photography grew in popularity online. After our commercial success with landscape and nature photography, we expanded to include weddings, portraits, and commercial photography. To date, our  collection of stock photos has been downloaded and used more than 2.5 million times. Our work has been featured by companies and organizations around the world, including Geiko.com, various US and international universities such as UC Davis, Mexico's Social Security Administration, and many others. We have shot portraits, weddings, and commercial projects around the Western United States and New Zealand, where we have lived twice for several years.

Ben

Ben grew up around photography; his parents ran Sunprint Photography in Bend, Oregon in the 1970s and 80s. He began to develop his own artistic approach to photography as a young adult and college student, on his many backpacking trips in Oregon, Idaho, Western Canada, Mexico, Poland, France, Spain, and other places around the world.

In addition to his training and experience in photography, Ben has a diverse educational background. He is currently completing a PhD in Latin American Studies, with an emphasis on power relations among the Mayas of Yucatán. Ben is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa.
